Do you dream of becoming a stay-at-home mom?
Is money blocking your path?
You have the power to change that. All you need are the right tools and a whole lot of determination.
I’m Laura Harris – a wife, mom, writer, and financial coach. I created The Stay-at-Home Mom Blueprint just for that reason. It’s the financial roadmap I wish I had when I got married. It includes my three-year journey toward debt freedom and becoming a stay-at-home mom in 2014. It also includes 150 strategies to:
- Save money
- Chop debt
- Earn money from home
- Sell your household goods
- Find a budget that works for your family
- Create healthy conversations with your spouse about money
- Establish a long-lasting single-income lifestyle
- Spend a lot more time with your kids!
It takes one choice at a time. One conversation at a time. One day at a time.

What Other People Are Saying:
If you currently aren’t at home and you really want to be, or you’re at home and it’s just not working out money-wise, I highly (highly highly) recommend this book. It’s all the great financial advice you’d get from the gurus, but trimmed down and written for YOU by someone who is a lot like you. – Ashley, WAHM and founder of AshleyGainer.com
Laura shows how small actions over time add up to huge results, to make our dreams a reality. I loved the images and personal insight that made this financial read anything but dry. – Lisa, WAHM of 8, founder of LisaTannerWriting.com
Dear Laura, I feel every word in your book and it is like someone has written about myself!!!! – Shani, working mother (future SAHM)
How We Found Lasting Change
In 2011, my husband and I made a radical decision to live on one income before we had kids and use the other income to slash debt.
We drove old cars.
We saved for emergencies for the first time ever.
We talked about our fears, our mistakes, and our dreams.
We stopped following cultural norms like car loans or collecting airline miles. Much of our young adult life was spent chasing that elusive credit score. One year into our journey, we found out there was a baby on the way. That lit a fire within us, and we paid off our last credit card six weeks before her birth.
That paved the way for a day that would change my life forever in 2014. I’ll never forget the day I turned in the keys at my bank job and hobbled out to my car, grinning like Kenneth the Page from 30 Rock.
I was officially a stay-at-home mom.
This goal is achievable if you truly want to do it. It’s totally fine if you want to work outside your home.
I just don’t want you to give up on your dream if there really is a way.
It’s worth every hard step and every challenge we faced. This is the road map I didn’t have when we got started. May it be a resource that helps you achieve the goal of your dreams.
